Hey everyone! For whatever reason, I seem to be a much more frequent poster here when it comes to Baseball season and coaching. Had my first practices this week! The boy I posted most about last year has aged out of that age group. I have two returning players...my catcher and outfielder, both of whom were good with the bats and solid with the gloves. If you are looking for me to discuss cute ballplayers, I may as well start with a medium length blond haired short boy who I can tell is quite a character. Maybe I'll refer to him as Sparky. When he went out to take the field, he did some cartwheels. When some of the kids were talking about a 'couple' at school, it was remarked that using the word 'couple' made it sound like they were referring to a bunch of old people....to which this blond haired boy replied, 'We get the good looking ones.' I suppose he was referring to girls his age and not old people ;-). Finally, when we did some running during practice, he said loudly, 'I'm going to take off my sweatshirt' which he did (his t-shirt also rose up before he put it down). Then he joked that he would also take off his t-shirt as he lifted up his t-shirt quickly and flashed his upper body....he is rather smooth. One of the other boys I didn't really get to interact much with yet (but who seems nice) has very long and silky brown hair (think like rock band or certain model types). Another boy who has a very strong throwing arm is also quite the charming and polite young man. If I have interesting stories to share about them, I'll be sure to make up nicknames for them too. I think I'll post regularly during the season. |
