Suppose that in a given year in a given city that roughly half of the people arrested for shoplifting are men and half are women. If you post to a city message board asking people to send you examples of stories of women shoplifting, you will get a bunch of stories of women shoplifting. But if you try to say "Look at all these examples of women shoplifting. They prove that this is something that women do more than men" you would be wrong/lying/stupid. I don't have any examples that support your claim that there is a trend. Your logic would be to conclude from my lack of examples that it either never or rarely happens. When you don't even try to find examples that might disprove your "trend" claim you are not trying to find the truth about the question. You are trying to create a bullshit argument that supports nothing. Bullshit arguments are all you have when it comes to your misogynistic rants, so I don't expect you to stop using them. But they are 100% grade A bullshit. |
