I donĀ“t know if this is the case but some routers can be set up to share files, they can be converted into a server or do P2P, they come with a USB port and you plug in a USB thumbdrive and they also have internal memory for things like settings.

The main mistake he made, was downloading something illegal, the second mistake was to use P2P to do that when everybody knows the police can easily trace P2P and torrent downloads.

This is the wiping software he was using, not cheap at $70 but I guess a doctor can afford that http://www.cyberscrub.com
