Yeah, that is a good call there.

Luckily I never acted out on those desires in felonious ways and I found a halfway decent therapist before things ever reached that point. I am discovering that there is a very long history of abuse and denial in my family tree. I cannot save them, but I can save myself.

I am very good at juggling addictions. I do want to reach the point where I stop turning to those thought patterns and behaviors as a crutch.
