Seriously, from the description it is clear that the patients are sane and the people forcing them into treatment are nuts. There will come a day when the present panic is compared unfavorably to the Salem Witch Trials - because the Salem Witch Trials only proceeded for a relatively limited time in a limited place before even the religious zealots behind it said "too much!" - whereas our current moral panic has gone global and has involved millions of people accepting blatant falsehoods.

This is going to go down in future textbooks for sure.
