If you claim your old passport was lost the feds immediately log it. If its presented again that will be cause for them to detain you. Face it, they scrutinize things a lot more since 9/11 and especially since Trump became president.


The feds are a lot of things....stupid isn't usually one of them.

And I shudder to think what the authorities in foreign countries may do to you if they nab you traveling on counterfeit papers. The Bill of Rights ends at the 3-to-12 mile limit.
