Bill Maher gets hit by Milo Yiannopoulos fallout

Posted by Klondike on 2017-February-24 16:10:46, Friday

A few days before Milo got in trouble when the tape of his views on sex between adults and minors went viral, his was interviewed by Bill Maher on his show Real Time. Well now that they have done eating and digesting Milo, some are turning their sights on Maher. A 1998 clip from his old show, Politically Incorrect, where he defends Mary Kay Letourneau's relationship with then 14 year old Vili Fualaau is now being passed around and might land Maher in some trouble. Maher is more generally well thought of, more mainstream, and probably in a better position to defend himself than Milo was, so it will be interesting to see where this goes. Maher famously lost his show Politically Incorrect after saying that the 9-11 hijackers were not cowards, so if he loses his current show over this it will not be anything new for him.

By the way, for those wondering, Mary Kay Letourneau was released from jail in 2004. In 2005 she married the then 21 year old Vili Fualaau and took his last name. Twelve years later they are still married and together have raised two daughters who are in their late teens.
