There are many things exposed BL's did in the past, which I think we have to regard as dead-ends now. He's not committing suicide. He's not getting married. (to a woman!) He's not taking the night-train to Paris. He's not saying pedophilia is completely different from homosexuality. He's not saying "My account was hacked!" He's not saying "I KNOW THAT I HAVE A PROBLEM." He's not saying hiding under rock. He's not going all with the non-personing and shaming, but rather going FULL STEAM AHEAD with book, college tours, media empire, etc. He's not saying, "I recognize that I need to be away from children." etc. He's not burning out as an over-active 1970's activist, Screaming about how ALL KIDS ARE SEXUAL AND ALL PAEDERASTIC RELATIONSHIPS ARE GOOD! He's not gotten on the moral train, saying, ALL PAEDERASTIC RELATIONSHIPS ARE BAD. He's HELD OUT FOR NUANCE AND CASUISTRY, which is tricky road to walk. Me, I was JUST a little ahead of the curve by coming out in 2002. If I could have kept it under my hat until Obama's presidency, I would have had a nice income-generating job and solid social position all this time. But I didn't. I came out WHEN THERE WAS SIX MORE YEARS OF BUSH, and it was six years of SHITE. So it's really pretty exhilarating for me to see Milo -- BECOME MILO -- with a full-on attitude of CARRY ON, BITCHES! I hope those from a previous generation where getting your life crushed was the norm, can breathe in the spirit that Milo represents. ---Did |
