They're not infallible

The SCOTUS is just nine people with ideological axes to grind. More often than not they're not even the smartest legal minds available....but end up there because of some idiotic attempt at "balance".

They've blown it several times in American history...often majorly. "Dred Scott v. US" "in re Vallandingham", "Plessy v. Ferguson", and the very one you cited, "Roe v. Wade". Many times they've misinterpreted the Constitution and come up with very bad law.

I happen to be a strict constructionist and an originalist. AFAIC the Constitution doesn't need to be interpreted or expanded. It means exactly what it fucking says and should be followed narrowly to the letter. If anyone wishes any changes, the Founding Fathers in their wisdom put such a mechanism to do so in the very document itself.

A reiterate...if the Founding Fathers had intended to guarantee an absolute right to privacy, they would have specifically said so. No need to imply anything.
