#1 My three-letter unauthenticated nick carries as much weight and history and identity as your bare-chested gun-slinger. People who've been around since the 90's know that I'm something of a gun-slinger myself, in my nerdy way. It's just that right now I'm memorizing the Iliad; brain is full; can't be bothered to remember the new password the cogs kindly outfitted me with. If you have any doubts about my identity, Get on FB and look up Milo's page. My full name, pic, FB info, BC identity, are all there at the top right now. That's more than Your Imperial Black Majesty is in a position to do. #2 We're all just reading the tea-leaves here, during a Neo-Stalinist Conservative Purge. Milo's name and all of his magenta-tinted headlines have been scrubbed from the Breitbart front-page as of me checking it at 9:39 Pacific Time, 2/20. If his bio is still up, well, that's an oversight on their part. Milo's name and magenta have been copiously splashed all over Breitbart for years, making its disappearance tonight all the more salient. #3 As I said before, I doubt we'll get another, more visible, more credible BL public figure in this generation. Perhaps I'm over-identifying with him, since what's he's going through right now echoes very strongly with what I went through. But I see this as a unique opportunity for us to rally around him and help him with the identity-formation process. He's going to be under a hell of a lot of pressure to present a "conventional face" to the public. ---Did |
