Like the "virtuous" homophiles promoted the simple idea that they (being the only moral homophiles) did not have sex with seemingly willing men and fully supported whatever mild sodomy laws still existed in the 1950s?

leading to more acceptance

Such as that enjoyed by Mr Gibson, despite his claims of virtue?

If one's goal is radical enough to not include genocide (including "cures") what is gained by actively supporting not only the oppression of one's own class, but the very class one claims to love?
