"I believe it was the homosexuals who were imprisoned not so much the BLs. Remember there was a pederast culture in the early Nazi movement."

There is very little research and literature about convicted boylovers and their imprisonment from that time so currently we do not know much about that subject.

In this German article:

Herzer, Manfred (1992): Hinweise auf das schwule Berlin in der Nazizeit. In: Verein der Freunde eines Schwulen Museums in Berlin e.V. (Hrsg.) (1992) S. 44-47.

is a statistic that shows that from 1931 to 1940 in Nazi-Germany 4.179 juveniles and adults were convicted because of §175, 175a, 175b and 6.621 juveniles and adults because of § 176 III (sex with persons under 14 years).

I don´t know how many of these persons came into prisons and/or concentration camps but it seems unlikely to me that boylovers were treated especially mellow in this issue.

The §175 and the §176 originated in the same process and at the same time (1851 or 1870/1) and while the §175 was abolished 1994 the § 176 still exists in Germany.

The §176 is as mad and stupid as the §175.
