"Tommy Edmund was writing about all boys and not just about gay boys" Exactly, Filip. I was only seeking to explain why most men have no memories of desiring men when they were boys that would enable them to suspect they were being lied to when presented with modern dogma that boys never want or need sex with men. I don't for a moment doubt that amongst boys who self-identify as gay, there are many who prefer men to other boys. If the erroneous assumption that I was talking about gay boys springs from a belief that boys must be gay to welcome sex with men, then I strongly disagree. That belief is belied by all the evidence from pre-persecution days. It is not only untrue, but deeply injurious to (1) boys who are consequently branded as gay against their wishes on account of a willing homosexual liaison, (2) boys who want and would benefit from such a liaison, but are frightened off by the threat of being so branded by others or in their own minds, and (3) boy-lovers, for whom there are in consequence many fewer boys wanting sex with men. www.amazon.com/dp/1481222112 |
