Ok, think about it. A unarmed man run over by the tanks he stopped and only the picture before made the news. Those must have been really bad journalists.

However, i recall soldiers getting killed in a cruel way.

If that is not enough, East-Germany went down due to peaceful protests.

Maybe there is another reason for keeping the second amendment. As long as citizen are armed, the use of arms in a conflict is justified. In a perverse way, a crazy government would prefer their citizens to be armed - as long as they have enough long distance weapons...
