I will be staying for some time, I guess, because I got somewhat uncomfortable with GC, so it's nice to see you! You are right. Homeschooling only accumulates advantages as time goes by, while the compulsory schooling only becomes worse. I talked today with a mother of several children, including two fourth grade twin girls. The twins are among the girls I have as YFs. She told me there is no way the girls would go to a public school; she has nothing but contempt for the whole system. I will spare the details, but rest assured, my admiration for that woman only grew. I'd be proud to have her as mother-in-law. And seeing the girls, it's clear that being kept out of public school has really helped them be better persons. |
