I get irked sometimes...

and maybe it's the homophobia still internalized in me (even tho I've been 'out' many many years now). But I still get irked by the term "to have sex" when it comes to kids. Not because I'm against sex with kids (I'm not, as long, of course, as it's consensual), but because I happen to think that the paradigm of 'sex' itself is an awfully confining term and way of relating...and my heart wishes to relate in ways where kids (in a liberated society) LEAD such touch, rather than how 'adults' (really just big kids themselves!) allow themselves so often to conform to such abstract "Givens", not thinking such through.

Maybe I'm getting way too fine-tuning here, but I guess I feel like this is good a place as any to share this sentiment.

Thanks for the opportunity!
