Adam and Eve were the progenitors of the Hebrew race.

They were the last of the races created.

Mankind was quite probably created on the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 8th "days" of creation (figuratively, as we do not actually understand the time measured to have been a "day". God said to Isaiah "a day is as a thousand years".)

Most often it is poor translation that leads to the disagreement of the Bible and of Science..
