Hmm... if you admit to sometimes being ignorant/inexperienced then you might consider more carefully what you say and how you say it. You might. People lie. I learned this the hard way. I used to believe *everything* anyone told me. You can imagine the surprises I got along the way learning *that* lesson... They say, "A picture is worth a thousand words." (Wikipedia) And for very good reason. Maybe I'm seeing "too much" in the pictures. Maybe I'm not. But I do have a great deal of experience, in a number of different fields. I'm biased. Can't help but be. We are *all* biased. BUT - am I biased to the point that I am not able to consider other points of view? I don't think so. And I think this is true in most situations, not just a few. RE: agendas I have read *every post* that you have made since you have used this nick. And, I have noticed (I believe) certain tendencies towards being overly-quick to criticize and to judge others. And to make absolute statements. Also, you don't seem, on many topics, to be very well-informed. Whatever... RE: being popular I'm not in a popularity contest. If what I post is interesting and informative for some, and they "like" me, I'm OK with that. If they don't "like" me, I'm OK with that, too. I've learned many important things from people that I really didn't like that much. And, sure, I appreciate feedback. But I can live without it. Actually, I think the real reason that some people don't like me is because... ... I'm just so darned popular... ;-) |
