Edward Furlong sued his parents for emancipation when he was 14. When he was 15 he became involved in a relationship with a 30yo woman. The did not marry, but they did become engaged. Very recently, fans of Justin Bieber have called Selena Gomez a "pedophile" because he was 16 and she 18 when they started dating (she's 16 months older than him). I don't think there is a pattern here or any real difference in reactions based on gender. With 16yos, there is often a feeling that it is creepy, but not open and full-voiced revulsion, whether the 16yo is male or female. |
