Good idea, about your room. You never know... You know what the *biggest* mistake that people here make? It's so dumb. And so simple to avoid. People sometimes use the same email account in real life that they use for BoyChat and other boylove-related sites. And then they post that email address here. Really dumb, guys! Then a simple Google search turns up their Face-book account. Sometimes a lot more. One thing leads to another. Use Hushmail click here or Fastmail click here . Accounts are free, and easy to set up. Do not use a name connected to your real-life name! Another big mistake is to put real names. Never even post your own real first name. Don't post details about the kind of job you do. Or the place you live. Why? Because, if you do - Bingo! - The anti group "Evil unveiled" puts together a profile. The police are notified. The person's computer is checked. Pictures are found. "Go straight to jail, do not collect $200." I hope you aren't making any of those mistakes. But if you are not very very careful, you can leave traces of pictures or thumbnails (or even just the names of the files after they have been encrypted) on your computer. Use a strong (a long, complicated) password. Best to use a thumb-drive for storing any files you create. Keep a hammer next to your computer. Crush the thumb-drive by hitting it with a hammer, hard, on the floor, if you get a suspicious knock on the door. Don't give details here that can link you to your real-life identity. Use a password-protected screen-saver. Only use the same screen name (your nick) on boylove-related sites. Never, never, never use the nick you use here on sites that are *not* boylove-related. Better, have a different nick for each boylove-related site. Do not connect the names. Do *not* nick-link yourself! (Don't say, "I post as joeblowboy on another site.") I know, it gets complicated. But it makes it much harder for the antis and for the police. Maybe talk about the experiences of some guy you know, not your own experiences. What I don't understand is that these warnings are not clearly displayed on the main page under a link, "Read this now before posting your first post!" I mean, sure, there is a FAQ. But most people don't bother to read the whole thing. So, they make mistakes. And go to prison and have their life totally fucked up. Strange, isn't it? No clear warning on a site that, if used wrong, can destroy a person. "Welcome to BoyChat! Click here to post. Skip the FAQ. You might make a mistake and go to prison. Or even kill yourself! Yeah, great! It will be your own fault, of course. Here, here's a hand-grenade. Read the small print on the bottom before you play with it. Have fun!" Did I miss anything, MElf? Why not do it?
