To accept your contention is to accept that pristine, flawless leaders would have allowed either group to "succeed". Granted you didn't define what success might be, but it is much more complicated than failed leadership. It is actually the existence of the groups themselves is a big factor in keeping the hysteria at fever pitch. The BC style of "activism" even at its best (and BC certainly is far, far from that) is horrendously self-defeating. When a community is stigmatized and scape-goated for allegedly exploiting another community, they are never going to escape that rut without the cooperation of the allegedly exploited community. |
