...you either have to be a little crazy, or have nothing to lose. So of course you'll tend to attract crazy people with nothing to lose! We should do what all the other 'controversial' special interest groups do. The group itself doesn't lobby or go public or make a call for anything. Too controversial. Instead, you form spin-off entities like "Concerned Parents for Sex Law Reform" and "Concerned Citizens Against Child Predators" that lobby for increased penalties for the "two million predators who kidnap children every year" while also quietly redefining who is and isn't a serious sex criminal if you look deeper into the proposed legislation. And when the other groups claim you're actually reducing penalties for some categories, you run your political ads with that guy with the sinister voice saying "THEY want to punish your children. WE say, punish THE PREDATORS! Which side are YOU on? Vote 'yes' this Tuesday...sponsored by the Concerned Parents for Sex Criminal Reform." *sigh*... now all we need is a couple million or so to fund ads, write proposed legislation, and hire people to collect signatures.
