I have second generation middle class people all around me.. They moved from southern suburbs to northern cities where all the cool kids went when they were young, and now they all have kids since they graduated the clubbing life at some point (oh my god I'm turning 30, I need kids now!).

They have relatively weak jobs that can hardly stustain their lifestyle (two cars, big apartments with the expensive rent around here, designer clothes / bags / everything). I'm guessing their parents are supporting them or died and they inherited, who knows.
They're thin alright, but that's mostly cause they seem to eat mostly salad. Majority of the kids are super skinny, not skinny in the nice and healthy way.. they seriously just look like twigs.

The kids get spoiled rotten and else are treated like another accessory. Toddlers are dressed as miniature fashion models. As a result of being spoiled, they think the whole world is their playground. It's utterly obnoxious, unlike normal kids who can be annoying at times, they are 24/7. If little Timmy scrapes his leg, expect his mommy or daddy to come running and baby him and reinforce just how badly he is hurt, so he wails even more.

But these parents grew up middle class, and their parents did too. They're essentially 100% middle class, they ooze it. So yeah, bottom line: No, they don't all work for it. And no, they're not all nice and pleasant.
