I'm astounded at the depth and thoroughness of your analysis. You've written the first draft outline for the real biography, the one that won't be published in our lifetimes. You've described in lucid detail the unbearably confining shackles that torment us all and their fatal effect on the most famous boy lover in the world. I think you're right to say we understand Jackson as no others can permit themselves to do. I too noticed this statement in the press reports, and it stood out for me also: A human simply can not withstand this level of prolonged stress. Add to the pressures of being a public figure the prosecutions and persecution that dogged him, and you have a burden no one can bear indefinitely. Surely that's what killed him. He became a sacrificial goat, blood spilled to appease the idols of the mob. (The subject of this painting is not me.) |
