Was Dylan's computer hijacked by government agent? I dunno, perhaps it is only me, but ever since Dylan went off the radar a few months ago, his posts don't ring as reasoned as his current postings. Like when last year did Dylan ever talk about something a important as inalienable rights without giving the entire historical precept of such an idea with complete footnotes and references? In the above he conflates "rights" with the might of some assasin - no discussion at about whether it is right for one to murder an opponent of thought, the idea of what is right and what is wrong is simply not addressed. There is the omage to the Dylan pedantic trait with that "Media is already plural", but then his explaination of the the forces of media fails to connect why sensational news is necessarily patently untrue - Man walks on moon is very sensational and very true as well. "Boy kisses man he loves" would sure as hell be sensational in today's world media, yet we never see it in a headline despite the fact that it happens in public. Finally, the idea that one must understand the target of survey results before fomulating the questions violates standards of scientific investigation to discover something. In fact, such method is perfectly set for an activist agenda. People who have been around boychat for a while must wonder why Dylan is all of a suddenly questioning a legitimate method of pure research in favor of method used by activists with agendas. Maybe Dylan is just tired and off is normal game. I hope he re-sets himself to that good o'le Dylan we all know and love, or, recovers his computer from the government agent who stole it. |
