Always happy to look out for a fellow BCer. #YouAreNotAlone in mistaking genius strategies as strategically-challenged. Being helpful, for example, is a good strategy. And linking to all that drama as you put it just gives you an example of how people who disagree with the current overton window on how to relate to children get treated here at BC.

Disagreeing with people is fine. Calling their idea stupid and laying out some counter argument is normal behavior, but calling someone a low-down, double-dealing, backstabbing, larcenous perverted worm when they dare to see a topic differently just shows that the person has fallen under the spell of Satan. They no longer want to exchange ideas or communicate. They just want to hurt you. For disagreeing with them.

In a community everyone pitches in, from the ones with great ability come the biggest expectations. When we pitch in and get focused on our job within the structure, our strategy stops being aimed at some big picture and becomes fine tuned to the assignment. It's good for the gardener to be in tune with his crops and likewise for the guard dog to be in tune with his flock.

It might not look like it, but BC has a number of innocent lambs just curiously looking up what it means to be a boylover or pedophile. They are beginning their journey to discover who they are in relation to community, family, nation and God. Talking about these topics can lead to a feeling of closeness and trust where people become willing to share personal details earlier than they would have if they were thinking smart, which makes it particularly attractive to certain people who have that sinister desire to eventually use that information to harm those who disagree with them. Or maybe the sinister thoughts don't happen until later, after the honeymoon is over with a "friend."

But then they run into BC's unofficial Privacy Consultant modeling how to participate in these conversations PRIVATELY. There is always later if people want to make some kind of public statement using their government name, but if people are going to make that kind of decision it should be their own decision, not forced on them in "revenge" for having the gall to disagree, (which has happened here before). It's as if some people see life as being on "teams" and if you are on the other team you are in their mind the enemy.

Christians tell a story about a good man from Samarata who stopped to help a man on the side of the road, even though he (the helper) was an illegal immigrant rag head type. It just goes to show that you can't judge a person by what team their enemies put them on. The ending they never tell you about is that the Samaritan ended up setting up a vine yard and made bank selling raisins and sources say his descendants still work for Sun-Made to this day.
