What about a mass download?

I was wondering if I could download all the BoyChat posts and distribute them as a torrent. Awhile ago, I set up a bot to crawl BoyChat and download pages one-by-one, starting with 1000000, but maybe the site is set up to prevent that, because after a few pages, it would always stop loading.

With regard to the posts before 2003, what's the situation with those? Are they on a hard drive that crashed? If so, is there a possibility to take up a collection for data recovery? I'll chip in (once I figure out how to make a donation; I made a couple pledges earlier, but couldn't figure out how to actually follow through.)
