BfG isn't a troll

He certainly is a provocative, narcissistic and substantive poster but he isn't a troll. Calling people whose posting behaviour we don't like "trolls" is very subjective and always ends up making that epithet meaningless. Banning posters is a serious step. It means preventing a fellow boylover from using a resource that is available for boylovers. Certain behaviour ought to be banned if it threatens the safety of a poster or the board. It's a judgement call. For example: Nicklinking is dangerous in part because it aids those who use BC to profile people - who might use an alternative nick as a safety valve eg to prevent identifying information being attached to their regular nick. /K
