Welcome Veronica, from BC's unofficial insane person and official welcoming wagon, tpka "Tyred." Since you've been lurking for a while, you might already be aware of how merely advocating that pedophiles respect children's dignity and human rights is perceived as a sign of insanity here at BC. Nothing brings the "sane" together so much as coming together to mock and demonize someone different.

Some ask, "Why even try?" It might have been Tom O'Carroll who said "insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting different results." As you have surely notice, confronting the aggressive dominant culture is not for the faint of heart, but it's worth doing because little kids are silent. The aggressive way a lot of these guys try to dominate each other with slurs, misgendering, calling someone "it" cussing at, threatening... it's scary to think that's probably how they respond to disagreements irl if they can get away with it. Who in this world will tolerate being aggressively dominated in this way? Employees... waiters at a restaurant... powerless animals... and sadly it's often children who have no choice but to listen to and go along with whatever the adults in their lives tell them, or else. Bullies and abusers would like nothing more than for all of us who dare to talk back against their superior intellect should just disappear (or be disappeared). Removing those they consider insane, they argue, would make this a safe place for the sane dominate culture here considers children to be on the menu.

Tpka "Sick" might have put it best yesterday when he said, "it's kind of nice to see all us from the LBLs to the TBLs, the MAGA right to the pinko left, the trans phobic to the trans-o-philes, the frogs, the Yanks, the Brits, the Aussies, and the Canucks all coming together and singing in a kind of glorious unison..." That really puts a nice bow on what it feels like to be "insane," where people act like everyone, everywhere agrees that what you think and believe is wrong wrong wrong.

But no matter how much a group of people come together, hold hands and chant together that they are right about some or another issue, that does not make them right. Often all it takes to confront such a group is to join the circle, but refuse to join hands and start repeating a different chant.

Standing up to the aggressive dominant culture WILL make you a lighting rod for abuse, and if they can get away with it the most aggressive abusers in the group will find a way to silence you. Such is life for us insane people. Good luck finding a way to navigate it.

Tyred
